How Waypost handles your personal information.

This document describes what the software actually does, but it is not a finished legal instrument. It has not been reviewed by counsel and does not yet address state-specific privacy obligations. It must be replaced with a reviewed policy before Waypost handles real consumer data.

What we collect

Account information: your name, email address, and optional phone number.
Address information: the U.S. addresses you add, including any label and address type you assign them.
Organization information: which organizations you select, an optional nickname, and at most the last four digits of an account number, stored masked.
Authorization records: the version and a fingerprint of the consent text you accepted, the time you accepted it, and the IP address and browser user agent at that moment.
Activity records: an audit history of actions taken on your account.

What we never collect

Passwords or login credentials for your bank or any other organization.
Full account numbers, full payment card numbers, or card verification values.
Social Security numbers.

What we share

When you authorize an address change, each organization you selected receives your name, your previous address, your new address, and the effective date.
Nothing else is transmitted, and nothing is transmitted to an organization you did not select.
In this preview release every organization is fictional, so no information leaves the platform at all.

Your controls

You choose which organizations receive a change, one at a time or by category.
You can cancel any organization that has not yet been processed.
You can review your complete authorization and activity history from Settings.

Retention

Address-change requests, authorizations, and audit records are retained so you have a durable record of what you authorized and when.
Addresses are archived rather than deleted when they are referenced by a request, so that request's history stays accurate.
